Seattle's best festival is BACK in full force: Today, Freakout Festival announced the lineup for its 10th anniversaryand it's a doozy! This year, from November 10-13, the Seattle record label will welcome more than 70 acts from across the globe, including fabled Brazilian band Os Mutantes, who will play for two nights of the festival, Isobel Campbell of Belle Sebastian fame, Peruvian punk rock pioneers Los Saicos, featuring THEE Papi Saico, LA band No Age, a UFO Club reunion, and a whole lot more. Also this year: Freakout Fest has teamed up with Mexico City's Devil in the Woods Records to bring excellent Mexican bands to the fest, such as El Shirota and Margaritas Podridas. The lineup also promises tons of psych rock sets (Kid Congo the Pink Monkey Birds, The Mystery Lights), French groups (Lulu Van Trapp, You Said Strange), femme-fronted acts (Colleen Green, Breanna Barbara), and TONS of PNW bands (The Black Tones, Shaina Shepherd, Black Ends, Biblioteka). And to cap it off, Mad Alchemy Liquid Light Show will again provide the four-day festival with trippy visuals. Huzzah!
